On August 3, 2009, the McBride Foundation will host the Bill Teegins Golf Championship presented by McBride Clinic and McBride Orthopedic Hospital at the prestigious Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. This is the tournament you won’t want to miss. In addition to the tournament, you will also want to attend a fabulous auction party the night before the tournament. We invite you to partner with us by being a sponsor.

During this tournament we remember the life of Bill Teegins who was the number one Oklahoma sportscaster of the year for eight straight years. Bill was interested in fighting arthritis because of the prevalence of the disease in his family. His wife Janis and daughter Amanda continue the tradition he began by serving on the planning committee of this great event. As you know Bill lost his life tragically in a plane crash January 27, 2001, along with other members of the OSU family coming home from a basketball game. This tournament helps us keep his memory alive.

The McBride Foundation is devoted to the promotion of education, treatment and research to benefit the musculoskeletal health of Oklahomans. One in seven Americans or 36.4 million people have a musculoskeletal impairment that limits or decreases their ability to function at home, work or play. These conditions do not get the attention that some more well know conditions get.

The goal of the McBride Foundation is to fund research and public education to those dealing with arthritis. These programs include a scholarship program for those seeking a medical career, educational programs for healthcare providers and research into treatment-related projects. This tournament is the only fund raising event held by the McBride Foundation and assists us in our fight against America’s number one crippling disease.

We look forward to hearing from you soon. This tournament will sell out, so mail your reservation card in today.
